The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

Benjamin Netanyahu was born in 1949 in Tel Aviv and grew up in Jerusalem. His high school years were spent in the U.S., where his father, historian Benzion Netanyahu, was conducting research.  Returning to Israel in 1967, Mr. Netanyahu enlisted in the IDF and served in the elite commando unit, Sayeret Matkal. He took part in a number of special operations, including the rescue of hostages in a hijacked Sabena airplane in 1972.  In the same year, he was cited for outstanding operational leadership by Major General Mordechai Gur.  After his discharge from the IDF in 1972, Mr. Netanyahu fought in the Yom Kippur War of 1973 and reached the rank of captain.

Mr. Netanyahu received a B.Sc. degree in Architecture and a M.Sc. in Business Management from MIT.  He also studied political science at MIT and at Harvard University.

Between 1976 and 1982 Mr. Netanyahu worked in the private sector, first with the Boston Consulting Group, an international business consultancy, and then in a senior management position at Rim Industries Ltd.

In 1979 and 1984 Mr. Netanyahu initiated two international conferences that emphasized the need to fight terrorist organizations and regimes providing them support. U.S. Secretary of State George Schultz wrote at the time that Mr. Netanyahu’s public advocacy and books on the topic had a decisive influence in shaping American policy on terrorism.

In 1982, Mr. Netanyahu assumed the position of Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC.  In 1984 he was appointed Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, a position in which he served at for four years.  During this time he became renowned as a tireless champion of Israel’s cause in the international arena.  As such, he led the effort for declassification of the United Nations archives on war crimes committed by Nazi Germany.

Returning to Israel in 1988, Mr. Netanyahu was elected to the Knesset on the Likud party list and was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.  During the Gulf War he served as Israel’s principal spokesman in the international media.  In 1991 he was a senior member of the Israeli delegation to the Madrid peace conference and   participated in the first strategic cooperation committee between Israel and the U.S.

In 1993 Mr. Netanyahu was elected Likud party chairman and served as leader of the opposition until being elected Prime Minister of Israel in 1996.

During his first term as Prime Minister, Mr. Netanyahu implemented a policy that combined fighting terror with advancement of the peace process.  He signed agreements with the Palestinians that insisted on reciprocity.  During his three year term, the number of terror attacks against Israel decreased dramatically.

In the economic realm, Mr. Netanyahu led the liberalization of foreign currency regulations, accelerated privatization of government-owned companies and reduced the budget deficit.  During his term in office, the scope of foreign investment in Israeli hi-tech industry reached billions of dollars per year.

After the completion of his term as Prime Minister, Mr. Netanyahu served as a business consultant to Israeli hi-tech companies and was a popular speaker on the global lecture circuit.

In 2002 Mr. Netanyahu returned to politics, first as Minister of Foreign Affairs and then, in the course of 2003, as Minister of Finance.  He initiated policies that encouraged growth by reducing the public sector and strengthening the private sector.  They included the reduction of government spending, tax cuts, transition from welfare to work, breakup of monopolies, accelerated privatization and the introduction of pension reform.  These steps, praised by the U.S. administration, credit rating companies and the IMF, put an end to economic decline, lowered unemployment and spurred growth.  An Israeli economy that was shrinking in 2001 grew from 2003 at a 5% rate in the following four years. Unemployment declined and hundreds of thousands of Israelis returned to work.

In 2009, Mr. Netanyahu was elected Prime Minister for the second time.

Mr. Netanyahu has written or edited the following books that appeared in Hebrew and English, with some also translated into Russian, French, Arabic, Japanese and other languages:

Self-portrait of a Hero: The Letters of Jonathan Netanyahu (1963-1976) – editor, together with brother Ido Netanyahu (1978)
International Terrorism: Challenge and Response – editor (1979)
Terrorism: How the West Can Win – editor (1987)
A Place Among the Nations: Israel and the World (1992)

Benjamin may God Almighty be with you, your family, your country and all Gods people around the world! Israel is blessed by God and those who are faithful and obedient to His word. I’m not for sure but, i thought that Israel was at its strongest during the reign of King Solomon. God told him if you walk before me in integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all i command and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as i promised David your father when i said, ‘You shall never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’ (1 Kings 9:4,5) I think this chapter is saying to obey Gods word and do not conform to the ways of the world! Don’t compromise in anything that is not righteous! Always give God the first fruits of your heart, soul and mind daily! Do nothing without confronting Him first and watch God encourage His relationship in you and all you touch or are a part of! God loves you Benjamin and wants Him to always be first in your life! Allow God to grow you and be all that He wants you to be! In every situation that God puts in front of you especially the hard ones, look for the opportunity for Him to do His work in you. Love God with all of you! Amen We love you Benjamin

That goes to show the thinking of American people and where Stupid starts and Stupid began. He was elected for his color but yet he’s not Black. His religious beliefs are in question also. I myself want Mr. Benjamin Netenyahu to know I pray for him and Osrael nightly and daily I remember them all. God give you stregnth Mr.Prime Minister and GOD PLEASE BE ON ISRAELS SIDE. Thank God daily he has chosen you to lead his people,Wise and Passionate for your country. But I wonder if God appreciates all the Gay Bars you have in Israel,I’m not predudice but I don’t believe God destroyed Sodom and Gehmora for thier Drinkin alone. Please think about it Mr. Netanyahu think how God feels the country God gave you all should come back to serving the one and only TRUE GOD but do it in JESUS NAME.I’m not telling you how to run your country but without Christ nothing works out.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a great man I heard his speech at the NATO meeting here recently at the end of last year in his words were so inspiring but they were also filled with so much truth. And I thought to myself wouldn’t it be awesome if the leader of the free country or so-called free country America would stand up and speak words of truth. So hard to watch our country fall to pieces and feel like you can do nothing. Were able I would move to Israel today. Benjamin Netanyahu you have no idea how many Americans are praying for you and your precious country. And how we are you.Benjamin Netanyahu you are awesome and great man standing firm on what you believe for your country God is with you. And many many many Americans are also with you! We just wish our leaders were to and for that we apologize.

God bless Israel. God help Bibi see the Light in the eyes of Jesus, his Messiah. We would be so happy and proud to have a leader like Israel has. America’s leader has led us into great fear. May God help us all.

    • Bibi is Jewish. He doesn’t,
      buy the Jesus stuff.

The Old Testament Scriptures reveal the Jews as “the apple of God’s eye” (Zechariah 2:8). Their land is described as “holy” (Zechariah 2:12). Their city of Jerusalem is termed the “center of the nations” (Ezekiel 5:5). They are pictured as the wayward wife of God (see Ezekiel 16 and the book of Hosea). And the Bible makes it clear that they will be the object of both God’s wrath (Jeremiah 30:7) and His grace (Zechariah 13:1) in the end times.

My prayer is that God will open Bibi’s eyes to also see and accept Jesus the Son of God in the Old Testament scriptures that speak of the Redeemer, the Messiah, about the piercing of His hands and feet (Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, Zechariah 12, or Job 19) and Psalm 16 which talks of his rising after three days. After all, it would do Bibi no good at all to love and to live for Israel all his life here on earth, but to lose his own soul in eternity.

How wonderful that others are standing up for the great nation of Israel. My God is an awesome God,and He will not allow Israel to be uprooted. I only hope that with His mercy He is able to spare those of us in America who disapprove and disagree with our president.

  20. I truly believe in my Heart that a Great Darkness is encompassing the earth and the storm is coming like a flood …Israel will have to make some tough choices but God will be with you..he will Roar like a lion from Zion in your defence and your enimies will be Defeated …Obama has a Dark Heart and from his mouth comes venom of the serpent he is not to be trusted the bible says you can tell a man by the fruits that he bears.. his vine is void…so have courage oh Israel stand firm because the lion of Judah stands with you I ask our Great God to bless you to give you strength and Great Wisdom in these Dark Days God is in control ……

I also stand with Israel. I am like the drummer boy in the song, I do not have money to give to the cause but I can give my song. I can sing, I can dance, I can write, and I can pray for both the prosperity and protection of God’s people. I love Israel. I was raised to love Israel, and I will always do so. I know that Obama is the current leader of this troubled nation, but I am a child of the real King. He is my leader, and my salvation. I know He will save Israel as He has promised.

I said that very thing about Bibi Natanyahu ti a couple of my nephews. One is conservative like me, the other is so pro-Obama that I don’t know what he is thinking sometimes. I won’t bring up Natanyahu again around my pro-Obama nephew again. My two nephews just can’t talk about Bibi in the same room. Anyway I just wanted to say that I agree with you 100%.

I stand with our Prime Minister Stephen Harper in pledging our suport for Israel. I ask our God who is so awesome in power, so generous in wisdom, and so gracious in mercy,to keep you and your family safe and to guide you Prime Minister Netanyahu. These are precarious times but I do know that if we look back in the History of the Hebrews, time and time again we see God’s hand of deliverance. This time is no different. I’m sure you have surrounded yourself with men who hear from God so that you will never be blindsided and be able to see the hiccups before they come. I look forward to coming to Israel again I felt very safe and at home.

Dearest Brother & Prime Minister of Israel:I am so sorry for the so called leader of America to treat you as he has. Most Americans are 100% FOR YOU & we LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH,ISRAEL! You don’t know me, but for yrs now, I have been telling everybody I can tell–that “God said to pray for Benjamin Netanyahu to be the Leader of Israel.” Now,I find out that I am Jewish. Wow! It is time,I believe, for me to go to Israel. I am a warrior in the Spiritual realm;& I used to have the same, reoccurring dream, over & over, when I was small. I was in a little pink cave house. I was as happy as a lark, just sweeping etc. Then I saw pics of Petra,& it came to me–that is where my dream was!!! I met Gershon & Naomi Soloman in 07 in Lubbock,Tx. They began to tell me “We know that you are Jewish,Judith! My Mother is named Judith & our daughter is named Judith! You must come soon!” Well, much has happened to me,here,in America, for the Gospels sake. I have had MANY HATE CRIMES done to me,& ALL for doing good. Its so much better to suffer for doing good, than for doing evil, huh? You precious people should,of all folks, know this. But be encouraged for God is on you side & I believe that He is about to arise & bring Justice to you all,in Yeshuas Name. You all–IDF, saved us in 1983,was it–the taking out of the Iraqi Nukes, & now,I pray that if you have to hit Irans & take theirs out,you just do it! For it is your right to protect yourseles! You are such a Blessing on the earth & to me & I cannot wait for the day to come, when I move over there! Tomorrow wouldn’t be to soon for me!For the Lord has spoken this to me 2 times this month–that I am going to live in Israel & help the Jewish folks & ALL who needs it. Shaloam! Judith L. Cook 806 300-0384 & 806 702-1016. 1610 45th St. Apt. 6,Lubbock,Texas 79412

  29. Thank you for the warm words of encouragement and support, Ms. Lewallen.
I will forward your comments to the Prime Minister.
    Again, Thank you.

Prime Min. Nethanyahu, Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel, starting with Abraham, he traveled 460 miles from Ur to the City of Salem where he found Melchesidec who blessed him and Abraham gave him 10% of his possession and down through the years there have always been a descendants of Abraham holding the Priesthood in Jerusalem down to today.Jerusalem is and shall remain the eternal capital of Israel until Jesus returns.
